| Introduction |
Founded in March 2009, Yeonhui-dong Projects focuses on promoting contemporary Korean artists into the international art scene. To achieve such goal, Yeonhui-dong Projects has formed alliances with galleries in the Netherlands, Singapore, Turkey and many more, resulting in exchange-exhibitions and coalition in major art fairs. We are certain that such active exchange of art and ideas will become a stepping stone in supporting the future of our continuously evolving artists and become a great asset in the artist’s career. Yeonhui-dong Projects will mount approx. 8 in-house exhibitions every year and will further promote Korean artists by continually arranging exhibitions in international galleries and museums.
Attention for Asian art has grown and developed in the recent years and currently Korean art is being well received by the Western art world. Until now, Korean art has been acknowledged by few star artists, hence not being able to show the diversity and the profoundness in Korean art itself. Yeonhui-dong Projects will systematically “group” Korean artists, strengthening the competitiveness to become the mainstream in the international contemporary art world. To accomplish such aim, Yeonhui-dong Projects opens its stage by presenting its inauguration exhibition in March 2009, consisting 10 talented artists whom we proudly present to the world. |
